Archive-September/October 2007 ---------------------- lalala~ boredom ---------------------- [IN FANGIRL MODE] argghhh I’m doing it again hahahoho: LOOKIE HERE (start watching at 4:13 onward) I was lazy when I got home from my lecture this morning so I started watching random Gazette videos xD. The one up there is from Gazette’s Nameless Liberty Six Guns tour…again xD This was cute though, from the time that I mentioned on you see Reita spinning around in circles during one of their encores (I don’t remember what song they were playing xD). if you keep watchin you actually see him fall at the end lol xD Aoi kinda makes fun of him for it after - I don’t blame him- but but it was really cute imo >u< (aww poor Reita - too much spinning lol). Actually the only thing coincidently funny about that was the fact that Reita fell right on the last beat of the song teehee~ o.k. o.k. I'll stop now xD[/IN FANGIRL MODE] Anyway, first few weeks of university. Well, my friends weren't kidding when they said I'd get projects within the first week. I've got 3 right now, 1 is due at the end of this month and another early next month. It's not too bad though because they do ask to submit things every week (process work) which is good because it forces you to actually do the work and not procrastinate till the last week before it's due. (and my parents said I'd procrastinate just because I'm in art. psch, absolutely no faith in me =_=). right now my Japanese and Typography class are by far my favourite out of everything I'm taking this term. My Japanese tutorial instructor is actually really cool. She's British, has a British accent but speaks with a perfect Japanese accent >u< so cool and the Japanese doesn't even show through her English. Not much learned in Japanese, just typical greetings, most I've learned from watching anime xD (yayy I knew it'd be good for something lol). Birthday in less than 2 weeks now yayy, I'm planning to order Rock and Read issue 14 from j-xyz, the issue featured Reita and the photos were really pretty x3. Honestly I wish I had a credit card right now so I could order from HMV, YesAsia or Amazon for 2 reasons, one being it's obviously faster, and second the price for both was cheaper than j-xyz(J-xyz has it for $16US(it's relatively the same in CND) while the others were for 1260 yen (that's about $12 Canadian), plus shipping is a little more each but still $12 CND that's just about 25% cheaper x3 *sigh* oh wells maybe I could negotiate with my parents xD ah... but then I wanna get Guitar Hero x3 and...I'm still waiting on my cellphone *_*;;; and...yep, I'll have a new layout up soon for my birthday lol (it will be a Gazette layout >3) [EDIT]I’m also thinking of turning my LJ into an icon blog instead of a photo blog(since I make more icons over photos now xD photos will end up in my portfolio anyway lol). if I end up doing an icon blog I might just stick to Gazette icons there and all other icons here on this blog. err…I don’t think I mentioned that before hahaha…yes I do have icons under my Graphics section (which was very non-existent for a while xD) [/EDIT] ||September 17,2007|| ---------------------- Going up ---------------------- zomg I got older again xD 18, wow…soon I’ll be 20…gahhhh noooo I don’t want to be so old x33. lol I was pretty much out the whole day today, went out to visit my some friends at my high school, then hanged out with one of my friend’s downtown. Bought a new yaoi manga with prettiful art x3 very pretty lol I like manga with pretty art. ahhh I’m terrible I know (heh, eye candy). my youth group threw a little surprise for my birthday, which actually got me confused because what happened was that, they were all waiting in the kitchen (I was practicing with the band upstairs). So one of my friends came got me, dragged me downstairs… and, mind you it was dark and they turned off all the lights. When we opened the door my brother jumped out at me and…yesh…I was so confused xDDD aww…but it was sweet of them to do this lol I’ve never had something like a “surprise” for me before xDD I love my youth group lol and…besides being my brithday, today was also my domain’s birthday. yep, reverielied.net is one year old now^^ (lol I gotta renew it 2 months from now because I originally got 2 months free when I bought it :p). (the deadline’s been extended once again till October 7) [/SHAMELESS PLUG lalala] ||September 29,2007|| ---------------------- Relief ---------------------- *cough* my love for Gazette has also made me love Alice Nine now xD lol, no it wasn’t Ayame ahahaha *pokes* no it was from reading a Gaze-fancomic that just happened to mention Nao and had a really really cute picture of him x333 - NAOOOO <33 lol. So I will say that Alice Nine sits at second out of my favourite bands x3 (nothing outranks Gazette for me, they’re just too smexy >D). I was bored last night and started reading stuff about Alice Nine, then came across their blogs, so me being bored also went and got a Japanese blog xDDDhaha…and before you ask, no it’s not to stalk their blogs (though I did think about it, j/k j/k) it’s more for me to practice reading and writing Japanese so I can learn how to use it properly xDD. I’ll be honest though, I did comment on Nao’s blog about how cool Crisis Core is and how yummy his ramen looked (he always blogs with pictures. meh…I doubt he’d ever read the comment considering he gets a whole new page of comments everyday xD). lol You can find my comment here. my comment has “Crisis Core <333″ lol seriously, I’d never think people like Nao would have time to play games xD that’s just my ignorance(he finished it fast though o.o) [my Japanese blog >3 — http://ameblo.jp/hikariri/ lol I’ve actually gotten decently good at reading hiragana and a little bit of katakana (memorized the first 100 some phoenetic hiragana characters). next job is to increase my vocab and learn grammar xD Anyhoo, that aside, today was a good day. Got a lot of work done, all I’ve got left now is to finish up my assignment for my web art class and some thumbnails for Typography :3 (Japanese, and Visual Language-for once- is done). And…I finally got a cellphone last weekend !! <333 yes my own cellphone and not my mom’s (I have to pay for it on my own though xD;;; ). It’s a Sony Ericsson yayy~ I was planning for either a SE or a Nokia (I like models from them the most, and I outrightly refused to get a motorola or Blackberry. I just don’t like them Dx): lol I have a camera on it too hahaha, I haven’t bought the USB cable for it yet, but garrr I really need it cause the ringtones that came with the phone suck. So I recorded a Chizuru ringtone from my computer temporarily used it as my ringtone and took a picture of Reita off my computer with the camera and used it as my wallpaper xD (I have a pic of Nao on it too lol I tease people with it saying he’s my boyfriend xD I love watching people’s reaction to it fwahahaha I’m so evil x3) |October 14,2007|| ---------------------- dying ---------------------- I was so happy to get my Critical Issues in Design midterm exam over with. n_n and then I thought, yes! after tomorrow I can finally get a little break :D Writing 5, 300-word essays in 2.5 hours is not cool (I had to stop writing every few minutes because my hand was hurting Dx). Yes…but nooooo, Wednesday, my all-day studio courses day was hell. Hell in the sense that I got even more work on top of what little was left D< *Electronic Landscape(Web Art/Design) - 50 pages reading/online response, Assignment 2-Javascript, Web-Art Presentation(in 2 weeks though) *Critical Issues in Design - Essay Assignment 2 (which I can’t do now because we never got our first essay back the day of our midterm, and my professor isn’t going to be there next week and it’s supposed to be do the week after argh!Dx) *Visual Language - Project 4/5(Final -first drafts for Project 4 is due next week for critique) *Typography - Project 3 (Expressive words book - due next week, I really gotta work hard on that because it’s worth 35% of my grade x_x), Project 4 -Historical Poster design(drafts due next week), Final Term Project (due end of next month, this one is a group project and it’s only worth 10% so I’m hoping to be able to slack a little) *Arts and Ideas - Group Project Proposal (due next week, again, hoping for a little slack because it’s a group project), Annotated Bibliography for Research Essay —- Assignments total: 10 Now the only thing I didn’t count in was Japanese because that is my burn-course(aka. lazy-easy course). I have a quiz next week and a midterm next month (Japanese is a full-year course for me). and…yes this sucks Dx. On top of all that, I was planning to enter a poster design contest with a cash prize for the top 3 (not that I think I’ll win, only first-year xDD). Plus I have to do some header designs for my program’s annual magazine website (I’m on the web team lol, mostly joined the whole magazine team for resume purposes ahaha… xD). and…yes on top of that I’ve been getting an average of 4 hours of sleep for the past week >_o which is not good at all because the next day I’m running on sugar and small amounts of caffeine from my milk tea (mm…Hong Kong-style milk tea). ugh I can’t even sleep early now because as soon as my body realizes it can sleep more I oversleep. ugh, sucks sucks sucks I will be VERY VERY happy when the holidays come at the end of next month. On a side note, I was happy to learn more proper Japanese grammar and sentence structure n_n (if design doesn’t work out here I’ll move to Japan and teach English there and maybe a couple years later go back to Graphic Design xD) ||October 26,2007|| ---------------------- happy birthday kai! ---------------------- Before I just completely go on work mode I thought I’d just post here to say Happy Birthday to Kai from Gazette <333 he’s turning 26 (yayy for Kai, now you’re the same age as the majority of the band n_n minus Aoi and Ruki being the youngest and oldest lol) Originally I was going to snailmail him a card, but then I forgot all about it until last night at 2am xD (I was like “zomg! I completely forgot it’s Kai’s birthday”). So what I ended up doing to was finishing the last of my FACS take home test assignment and then spending the 2 hours after drawing up a card and fanmailing it. And when I say that I mean that I printed out the card wrote a happy birthday message, signed it, took a photo of it, went on the GazettE OHP and spent 30mins copying and pasting Japanese characters to write Kai and birthday message with the photo included in it. Though honestly speaking it’ll probably take him a while to get to my message considering how much fanmail they get xDD but I hope he’ll like it despite my crap drawing/vectoring skills(writing the messages and mail was good practice for my Japanese skills though :3). Here’s the photo I sent him: I wish I could send it but then it would get there a week later (and I’m not the type to send late birthday gifts). lol I’ll send it to him next year as an incentive with whatever I think of for next year xD. Sidenote: last night I was also looking at Alice Nine scans, and came across their photobook scans wee!!! ahaha, they were very amusing, I was thinking about ordering the book but then it costs $84 US(about $81 CAD. Canadian dollar looking good now lol I should buy more ahaha~) plus shipping ends up at $104 CAD (it’s $24 for shipping, the book is actually heavier than the Gazette photobook). Ah…so sad, I kinda want it, but then I was thinking of just buy the TSUBASA singles instead x3 (it would cost me half the price lol) |October 28,2007|| ---------------------- lalala~ boredom ---------------------- hey guys! blogging from school ahahaha… it’s my lunch break right now. Meh…not that I was paying any attention in my last class xDD Anyway I was bored so I was reading Nao’s blog to practice my Japanese (reading and grammar mid-term test in 2 weeks! DDx). lol anyhoo, Nao blogged a funny video of Saga doing push-ups xD: click and watch! ahahaa…it’s always funny to watch stuff like this, mostly because you never expect it to happen in a famous person’s life (aha…oh ignorance is a bliss.).
