Archive-May 2005 ---------------------- X_x ---------------------- well, just spent pretty much the whole weekend working on the rest of the Lord of the Flies Chapter questions, well by now I have managed to finish everything up to the Chapter 12 questions because I'm not done reading Ch. 12 yet. I still have Civics to do but that's easy. Math too, but we're starting trigonomentry which will be easy xD, History(boo) I have a few questions to do, and I still have my computer assignments to catch up on. Good news is this week I don't have that many tests(actually I think it's only 2 so no biggie^^). Homework is the problem right now but hopefully I can get that all done.^^ oh, I forgot toe mention this a while(stupid me xD) but 2 weeks ago I won a 2nd PS2 in a raffle at the wedding I went to(which was a wedding for one of those relatives that I don't know xDDDDDD) yipee, anyways, the one I won was the newer smaller model so I'm planning to get that modified(at P-mall *oh the fobby-ness xD). Going to buy my fabrics for my Rinoa cosplay tomorrow too, and am doing the costume on my own since my mom refuses to help me T-T. I honestly hope that it turns out right because I'm not that great on sewing. pfft.. yep (oh btw, it's May now, so there is now officially approximately 1 month and 1/2 left of school...and what I just typed made no sense gramatically xD) ||May 1,2005|| ---------------------- the poking begins xD ---------------------- (umm..well, if you're wondering about the mood thing, it means my brain has exploded xD). yes, anyways, I bought the fabrics for my cosplay on Monday and starting putting it together yesterday and am continuing to sew it up. I really really hope it comes out o.k(so far it's looking somewhat decent xD). by the time i finish this costume i predict that I will learn that i suck at sewing xDDDDDDD. eh, but I tried. maybe later on I'll take a picture to show my progress(mayyyyybe). oh, sadly today in orchestra practice music teacher announced that we'll be playing Symphony in E Minor in our last concert of the year......again!!! arghhhh, that is 3 times in a row >o<(that song bugs me, stupid triplet section is pretty much impossible to play at a 132 tempo on the violin @_@). *sigh* umm..homeowkr's cut down a little bit(very little xD). half day on Friday, yay!(I want Friday to come so badly TuT) ||May 4, 2005|| ---------------------- half-day=start of a possible good weekend^^ ---------------------- (hehehehehe, ignore that mood thing xD) Anyways, helf day today, mm...that was good...we got off at 12. Came home, ate lunch, finished pretty much all my homework(excluding the projects I have to do). And have now to this day, completed aprroximately 75% of my Rinoa costume. I could probably get the jacket done by the end of next week at the latest.^^ I still have to sew up armwarmers and paint on the wings on the back of the jacket and then I'll all done^^ (oh, I also have to iron out everything too xD). and..just want to give a shout out to Max, Happy Birthday to you^^*hands out a box of pocky *(17 now right? ) Well...that's pretty much it for this week oh one last thing..."Hail dear old Northern!" because it's our 75th Anniversary^^ puuchuu =3 ||May 7, 2005|| ---------------------- stupid msn virus ---------------------- Garrr...well right now I can say that I'm pretty annoyed by this. this "featured msn messenger 7.0 virus" so far I know a ton of people who've gotten this already, unfortunately I've got it too(most likely from my brother since I never click the link before, I did see it, but it looked too obviously suspicious). Yes, but it's annoying me...a lot, very bad, especially while I'm trying to do work >o<(and at first I was thinking that it was a hacker O.o) But I seemed to have stopped it right now(permenantly hopefully, but I'll have to see tomorrow). I still have a few methods to try^^;;;;; (for my friends who are reading this, I'm sorry that this has been annoying you because this virus as you know is very very annoying.) anyways, late late, I hope what I did worked TuT ||May 9, 2005|| ---------------------- terminated ---------------------- Well..I think I've pretty much gotten rid of that stupid msn virus(hopefully, still have to keep an eye on my computer files =-O).But so far everythings going o.k, and I haven't gotten any pop-up, weird thing that looks like I've been hacked situation on msn for the last 5 hours. Yep, so it looks clean on this end^^ Anyways, moving on, my brother left on his trip to Quebec city this morning, yay! the house is mine now after school!!! all mine!!!! bwahahahahahahahaha *laughs meniacally*(<-- probably mispelled xD) *cough* ahem, yes, so he's gone till Friday. Another pro today, I've gotten pretty much 85% of my Rinoa cosplay done(the jacket is nearly done, I'm just missing the part that keeps it together, and I also need to do the arm warmers and then I'm done). yipee, and there are approximately 2 weeks and 2 days left till Anime North^^ yes, that's exciting, downside these days is all those grr *censor* Final Evaluation projects I have to do ><. Well...luckily I'm almost done my Computer Science project so that's o.k(I just have a few lines left to add to my program which I swear will end being at least 1000 lines long @_@). My Design evaluation I'm probably going to finish either by the end of this week or by the end of next week(because all I need to do is paint it). English, I really need to work on(that's a biggie, and we've got our Exam next week*essay writing =_=*), History we just got our evaluation projects last class(joy, and we got the 2 laziest bums of the class in our group ><), my oh my aren't I going to have fun. =_= Oh, and ending off with a good thing, actually wanted to post this yesterday but with my anger and rage about the msn virus I was too distracted to post it xDDDD. but yes...my latest layout for my Pharaoh Atem/Yami Yugi shrine was a huge success(wow, xD), I love it (well, I love my navi x3). Yes, but it's uber cool not. Yes, and I am bored(as you can see *points to mood*). Well...actually supposed to be working on my final eval. project right now(which I am doing at the same time lol). I could care less anyways, boredom again xD. finished the first codes for my final term computer project( so far my program is 430 lines long including comments @_@). It's friday today too, which means that my brother is coming back from his trip today. (aww...and it was fun having the house to myself xD). Math exam(for my weekend class) is tomorrow. grrr...we're doing circles, and argh, it's going to be super annoying ><. o.k, that's the down side. good stuff now, English I've been able to catch up with so yay^^ History still have to work on and Design I'm nearly done(I started painting my frame last class lol, it's so ugly cause I suck at painting xD). Oh, Math class has been fun since we started Trigonometry xDDD. Oh, the many diagrams that we draw to associate with word problems is pricless(and hillarious) I laughed so hard at the last one we did xD here's what it was: Question: Find the height of the giraffe if the angle of elevation from one person is 23degrees and the angle of another person standing 5m further is 17degrees *cough* allow me to illustrate what diagram we used: (there was a diagram here xD) Yes...now, doesn't this look like a demented giraffe with laserbeams coming out it's eyes and killing the people? xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD (well....originally the question was about a crane, as in one where people are in, but when that was illustrated it looked like 2 people in a basket on top of a very tall stick /pole xDDD) ah....I love trig(the height of the giraffe can be represented by x while the distance from the giraffe to person1 can be represented by y. (1)tan17=x/y+5 (2)tan23=x/y, rearrange (2) to solve for x and sub x into (1), then sub what you get back into the rearranged (2) and solve for x which equals the height of the giraffe.) wow I did that for absolutely no reason xD now I will shut up and go back to my corner(and maybe I'll add something later...if I can think of something xD) more to add: I just did 2 random Kai banners, they're animated and funky and in the first one Kai never stops spinning! whee!!! <333: ||May 13, 2005|| ---------------------- a bad depressing rumor ---------------------- Well...if you've been to my Yugioh site you'll know why I am kinda depressed about this. Apparently, from the latest rumor I heard about the English dub series, 4Kids is planning to air Yugioh Genex in the United States starting September 2005, at the same time, they are planning to cut out the KC Grand Prix. and the Memory Arc(one of my favourite arcs ). *sigh* This stupid act is...argh! so stupid!!! I don't see why 4Kids is choosing to cut out 2 arcs, it makes no sense! (even my friend Animeplayer sees no sense in this, and...both of us are..very pissed). O.k. most people who aren't lovers would probably say right now, who cares? it's just a show. right? wrong, well..o.k, yes it is just a show, but having this happen is just unfair to all the fans that have been waiting to see these seasons, especially the Memory arc. *sigh* may be a rumor, but, rumor or not, I just hope it isn't true and I hope it doesn't happen. (it may be in the U.S. but doesn't matter, it'll end up coming to us in Canada) T-T ||May 15, 2005|| ---------------------- some relief ---------------------- well...relief from yesterday, I heard that 4Kids is going to show the KC Grand Prix and the Memory arc. but, their plan is to possibly show both during the same time that Genex will be running. Well..no idea it this will actually be true, because it doesn't seem possible, but at least it will be shown. This is a ver unusual situation.... O.k., enough with the depressing stuff, some good news is that this weekend is the Victoria day weekend, meaning that I have a long weekend^^ (which will probably end up with me, working on my English oral evaluation xD). More good news, I'm almost done my Riona costume (I'd say it's approximately 98% done^^). Anime North is in about a week, really excited about that, our last school concert is Wednesday, and then after that, no more rehersals^^ (which means no more waking up early on Wednesdays xD). Oh, my also has SAC(Student Advisory Council) Executive elections. We heard speeches, which I must say, were hillarious! xDDDDD (ah.....I laughed so hard at some of the videos :p ) Well...that's all for today, I hope Luu isn't back tomorrow(I'm enjoying it so much without him in class ) yep.....I'll go back to my corner now x3 ||May 16, 2005|| ---------------------- last concert of the year ---------------------- well..that was it(and note I just got home at 10:15 xp). Last concert of the year was today, Tunescape 2005, overall I think we played o.k....but argh..I gotta say/rant that those grade 9 second violins really bug me. Why? (1)They can't count! Honestly is it that hard to count, or at least pay attention to conductor cues? >< (2)they play on and off tempos, at first they might start slow, then they end up speeding up a lot which usually drags everyone else to playing really fast @_@ (3) This one was really annoying, while the Sax quartet and the Crescendo choir was on, 6 of the grade 9's beside me and my friend were talking and pizzing! argh! I mean, come on! have some respect, o.k. talking quietly that's fine, but pizzing!? while we're not supposed to playing!? What in the world is wrong with you people!? Argh, all the grade 9 second violins really pissed me off this year, they've ruined every concert(this isn't just my opinion either). Boy oh boy, I dunno what I'm going to do if they're there next year Anyways, that's my rant, o.k, enough ranting now. Good stuff, I finished my Rinoa costume! (yipee!) lol, lots of people in the orchestra are graduating this year too. *sniff* we'll miss you extremely talented players T-T We got our exam schedules today too, and...I've counted that I have 5 exams during the formal exam weeks. Unfortunately all my exams are in the afternoon(with the exception of my Math exam which is in the morning). my Civics exam is also on the very late exam day T-t. and stupidly enough, I have a Computer Science exam. how are we supposed to have an exam for that? I have no idea(because all we do is write java programs =/), seriously there might be a chance that I'll fail that(year right says everyone else xD) since Mr. Luu is a horrible teacher that can't teach and doesn't teach( another note, he came back too >_>). Oh, boy, I can't wait till June is over. Oh, and only 1 week and 2 days left before Anime North^^ (yay!) ||May 18, 2005|| ---------------------- sleepiness *snore* ---------------------- I tell you it's been a long and busy day. Spent most of the afternoon working on my English speech(mind you I still have to work on History after @_@). Anyways besides the urge to rant about how annoying homework is, I'll rant about how I went to see the 3rd Star Wars movie last night......at10pm xD Yep, well..we got there early because line-ups were bound to be big and it would be hard to get good seats in the theatre. Yep, but we got seats so yay. But since there was 50mins to spare before the movie my brother and I decided to go play around in the arcade(of course me being partially addicted to DDR went to play DDR while I left my brother to do whatever he wants xD). Yes...umm..movie. Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith Overall, not too bad of a movie, fight scenes were nice(bwahaha, I want a lightsaber xD). and Yoda kicks butt! weee!! I'd say the 3rd was definitely the best out of all 3. (I rank them 3, 1, 2 because 2 was't that great x3 and nothing beats 4, 5 and 6 <3) It was super weird(and in a way stupid) that in the end Anakin still manages to survive after being burned severely(and I mean burned to the point where he only has 1 arm, 1/2 of both legs and almost no face O.o). There were some funny moments in the movie, like when Yoda just walks right into the room where "the Emporer" is and uses the forces to knock out the 2 guards which somehow disappear after that moment xD. Or when Anakin submits to Sidius as his apprentice. I tell you, the way he spoke it sounded like he was hypnotized and/or on drugs xD. Yep...so not bad of a movie, ending was sad and sweet. And...when the DVD comes out I'll be watching all 6 movies xD(that will be in the summer of course^^) argh...curse you final evaluation projects and exams >< *shakes fist* ||May 22, 2005|| ---------------------- evil evil evil evil work ---------------------- o.k, be warned that I am ranting stupidly on homework here(specifically computer hw) >< homework is evil, very very evil. Englihs luckily I got my rough script done and just need to edit it and type it up. History no problem. lucky me I got my Design evaluation done and out of the way. But really what's annoying me right now are all those stupid java programs that I need to write. Naturally I'd be able to finish them all by now, but nooooo. Luu can't teach! He sucks at teaching, he hasn't taught us anything new since November(2004) ><. argh! I have to teach myself everything(which is still confusing). Asking him for help is no use either since his answer is usually "hmm...Lemme check something..", or "I dunno" or "I'll get back to you on that" and other horrible excuses. -_- I really wish I had Mr Little this year, he is 10x more computer and programming literate that Luu ><(who doesn't even know Winzip, honestly. a computer teacher not knowing Winzip! ><) it pisses me off that he doesn't teach anything and is not helpful at all.(this makes every single period in computers so long -_- and I spend half the time starring at my screen wondering how in the world I'm supposed to do something like this). Boy, what a relief My. Little is teaching the grade 12 com. sci(I will drop out of the course if I see Luu teaching it next year) anyways, that's my rant. good news is today was Victoria day, so no school. and it's 4 days till Anime North(starts Friday, still debating with myself whether or not I'll go to the pre-AN party on Thursday so I can pick up my pass lol) ||May 23, 2005|| ---------------------- getting close to the end of all projects and/or anything project related xD ---------------------- Well..got 2 of my programs done today in Com. Sci. (yay! that's 2 down 3 more to go xD). Pretty much have my English Presentation script done too yipee. Now all that's left is History and one concert Review xD (so close yet so far away lol). Forgot to mention that we started part 1 of our In-Class English Essay. Which, to my surprise, is easy...very easy...yep...I got 1/2 my rough draft done xD. Tomorrow is part 2 (day 2). it's the last day of our exam(and I will be so happy when it's done lol. that will make it 1 exam down 6 to go x3) I'm als happy with my latest Trig quiz *cough*testnotaquiz*cough* yay Trig, it's so easy <3 Anime North in 3 days(including today). Might go to the pre-AN gathering on Thursday...yep. ..I'll shut up now xD *runs off* ||May 24, 2005|| ---------------------- too much work, AN tomorrow! ---------------------- Well....good news, Anime North starts tomorrow^^ bad news, I have a lot of work to do T-T. more good news, I'm almost finish catching up to all my com sci. assignments^^ (still can't believe Luu is giving us a practical test during evaluations when he's not supposed to ><). pfft... Anyways, some other stuff happening...my parents want to send me away to camp during the summer this year. I hate this mostly because I hate overnight summer camps(with the exception of my traditional family camping trips. but that's different xD). That and because the stuff they do holds no interest to me(I pretty much don't like playing any sports except for badminton, ping pong and archery *cough*typical Chinese fobby loved sports cept for archery xD). Yes, so it sucks. don't like. I'm trying to negotiate with my parents to either take me out or switch to another camp that I'll actually like, because really, if I don't like it, it is a waste of money. and mind you that this camp costs at least $1,000 despite the fact that my uncle's paying for it, I still don't want to go =_=. They do do archery there, but they don't have a definite schedule of when they do it, meaning..I might not get to do it. And seriously, I'd rather do archery my backyard than not do it at all at a camp I never wanted to go to in the first place. anyways..I know I'm ranting, so point is, I don't want to go and I want out of the issue. period. Moving on, I plan to do some shopping at AN. ehehe...kinda made a lil' wishlist xD: Hikari's wishlist for this year: -puchiguso/grunty plushie(this will leave 2 more plushies to get on my plushie wishlist^^) -Earth Maiden Arjuna vol. 3, 4 -D.N. Angel is the only one where I have collected in order from vol. 1 xD) -some kind of bookmark(maybe, because I can make them to lol...laziness xD) ||May 26, 2005|| ---------------------- work overload ---------------------- it seems that, this is what I pretty much always blog about now, well...mostly because I have no other thing to blog/complain about xD. Well...by the end of this week all my final projects will be done and over with. last thing to worry about will be X_x....exams.. Tomorrow-Final Oral Evaluation for English, and I have my playing portion of my Music exam to do.Wednesday-Practical Evaluation for Computer Science, Thursday- Science Weather project due(but, that's very easy xD), Friday-History Oral Evaluation and Chapter 6 Trig test. Yep....I'm all booked this week X_x. To add to that, dad is...annoyed meaning I can't stay late ><(boo, but...it is part of our agreement in me not going to camp in exchange to go to a cyber camp). Anyways, so good news. Anime North was great^^ (hehe, though a part of my costume kinda fell in the subway xDDD). Sia's costume was great(she was Alexiel from Angel Sanctuary), yes! she finally cosplayed! yipee!!! yep, stupid how someone tried to steal from the con. though >< (grrr... they got me and Sia along with other people stuck in the dealers room for about 20mins! arghh). Unfortunately, I didn't get any autographs this time...but... I got my puchiguso/grunty plushie! <3 oh, and the 7th and 8th vol. of D.N. Angel <3 (I think I just have 2 more vol. to get and then I've got the whole manga series). Been awsome, pictures to come soon. (mannn! I love whoever was the chocobo cosplayer! I love you <33333!!
