Kyuu! Archive-June/July/August 2007 ---------------------- The last post ---------------------- O.k. following up on what I posted last time, this is my AN 07 Report xD: Anime North 2007 Con. Report It’s pretty long considering that I stayed all weekend this year(which was great cause I hate how I don’t use my weekend pass to it’s full potential x3). Oh my school prom was this past Friday (and I got a haircut) and that was really fun lol. I’ll put pictures of those up like…after exams xD and so children this is my last post till exams are over, so now I’m on a blog hiatus. seeya soon! There will be a layout change by then too (I seriously want to right now, I just have no time T-T <-only got a little time to change the layout for my domain TuT) ||June 3,2007|| ---------------------- la~tada!~ ---------------------- EXAMS ARE OVER! woOt!~ lol, yes. Well…they were officially over for me on the 18th but since I bought Star Ocean: Till the End of Time, I’ve been hooked on playing it so I haven’t been around to do stuff^^;;; Anyhoo, I ish here now, and hopefully I’ll have more time to blog about the randomness in my life and whatnot xD So…first, new layout. yay! This layout is basically a tribute to my 4 years of high school (*sniff*it went by so fast T.T). Yep, I’m graduating now, and awsomeness to me, I got into York for Design so…woOt goodbye science (I love you but, not that much xD). So now starts my journey to become a successful professional graphic designer :D (or something within the area of design xD). I’ve already signed for my courses so the chance of me getting withdrawn from my acceptance is actually really really low (according to my enrolment advisor). so yay <3 My current schedule for university next year gives me Friday off for the whole year and Monday off for the first semester. I would’ve had Tuesday off in the second semester too but then my Japanese lecture and tutorials couldn’t fit anywhere else T.T (and yay I finally get to learn Japanese without my parents complaining about it ‘uselessness’ -riiigghhhttt~) oh wells. Besides that, summer is here. FINALLY! zomg, I swear I thought school would never end x3. I don’t have much plans for this summer. I want to get a job and earn some money but then I also kinda don’t want to because this is my grad year so I prefer to spend time with friends that I won’t see again and have some fun and whatnot (cause I worked for almost the whole summer last year). But if I decide to work I don’t want to work for too many times in a week. I still have Harmony lessons till August (when my exam is) and I still have piano lessons. My parents want me to quit since they think I won’t have time to continue when university starts, but…I dunno I don’t think I’m ready to quit just yet considering how far I’ve gotten (plus piano helps keep my stress under control - seriously I can get nervous breakdown’s from overworking myself Dx. plus I love music :3). and…yep that’s it for me, now….I go back to play Star Ocean xD (oh and last thing. I finally sent in my payment for the Gazette photobook that I ordered like a month ago xD so hopefully they’ll get that soon and I can get my photobook by mid-July or so <33 yay Gazette prettiness - I’m going to be hosting thefanlistings.org approved fanlisting for Reila :D) [EDIT]Oh I forgot to mention that I will be opening up space to take commissions for stuff now (designs, drawings, art and whatnot) more info to come when I’ve completely set it up. Payments will be through Paypal though since I do not give away my address to anyone^^;; that’ll change once I get a post box to accept mail in cash payments :3 so just wait a while xD (feel free to e-mail me if you’re interested in having me commission something for you :3 - I can promise that it won’t be expensive since I’m obviously just an student xD) ||June 22, 2007|| ---------------------- 777 ---------------------- lol, so today is July 7th, 2007 (07/7/2007). Western-y speaking the luckiest day of the year if you want to be supersticious teehee~ So, x-jyz e-mailed me back saying they got my payment and sent my order on the 30th last month, so it’ll take about a month for me to get it (so hopefully, by the end of next month I’ll get my photobook <33). Oh, I also went and got my report card last week. Good things and bad things, the good part was I managed to pull off a decent 80 in Calculus xD (yess!! lol every exam pulls my mark up like..5/6% xD). Data wasn't too bad too (80 again, least it wasn't lower). I was happy with English since it was pretty much the only mark (besides Calc) that went up lol. Pretty much everything else went down (music was fine though, I know it's impossible for me to get anything below a 90 since it's also impossible for me to get anything but perfect on the written test and anything below an 80 on the playing part xD hohum...I was so lazy in music this year..terrible, I should've showed up for more Strings practices x3). Now Design I wasn't expecting much, I knew I was going to do bad on the final, luckily my mark only dropped 2% meaning I probably got a 70 something on my final, But damn, that 2% could've gotten me an 80 Dx damn my laziness. Biology I won't talk about, I hate my mark, I knew it was impossible for me to make it any better since I think...overall in the whole year I failed almost every major test D: yes..see? this is why I keep telling my parents that my interest in Science is purely an interest. I wouldn’t want to do it for the rest of my life =_=;; (stupid Asian parents) Oh well it doesn’t matter anymore anyway since i’m off to study design (screw the Asian tradition). Today’s also Live Earth day, the day when a bunch of countries host concerts to support the awareness of Global Warming and whatnot. I actually never knew about this, but when my brother flipped the channel I noticed one of the locations was in Tokyo. Anyway, me being me, I looked it up so…yep, they got Ayaka Ai Otsuka AI Xzibit abingdon boys school Cocco Linkin Park Kumi Koda Rihanna lined up to play…well I just finished watching Ayaka’s performance and Otsuka Ai is performing right now. I want to stay up to watch Abingdon Boys School amd Koda Kumi’s performance but it’s….1:13am over here and…relatively 2:13pm over there in Tokyo xD so yes…and considering that they seem to be behind schedule in Live Earth Tokyo, and each performance is about 20mins with a 10min break in between performances I’ll be up till like…the morning >>;; Abingdon would probably be on around 3am-ish - Otsuka Ai is set to be done in about 25mins, Koda Kumi’s not on for a long while since she’s the 2nd last performer D: Hopefully someone Youtube’s it or something. (Or maybe I’ll buy the dvd if no one does o.o ). Oh wells, I’ll try to wake up early again to watch Koda Kumi in the morning if I can though I doubt it *sigh* anyhoo, now I sleep, if anyone’s still awake and reads this and wants to watch the Tokyo Live Earth concert you can find the live feed here: Watch Tokyo’s Live Earth Concert ||July 7, 2007|| ---------------------- Lucky lucky ---------------------- Gazette’s photobook finally came to me <333 I came home after my Harmony lesson (which took way longer than usual today) and saw the package on the table and almost did a fangirl squeal in front of my mom xD I would've been there to actually sign for it if my lesson weren't so long x3 (then I would've touched it first lol..o.k. that's my inner fangirl talking again xD). yep so there's a picture of it, well...not unpacked yet, it's in a plastic slip. lol I have the urge to not take it out now xD (it's like gold.. *_*). So apparently my order came from Tokyo to British Columbia and then to me in Toronto. Which kinda explains why it came faster than I thought (it's coming from B.C. which is much closer than if it came from Japan xD). So the package(I will describe for absolutely no reason xD) was the typical brown paper packaging, followed by 2 layers of bubble wrap (to protect it <3) and then the plastic slip(which I haven't taken off yet lol) ah...so happy <3 I kept all the packaging and the bubble wrap - it's bubble wrap! who does not love bubble wrap? >D The book was also a lot bigger than I thought (probably cause I didn’t really pay attention to the dimensions when I ordered it xD), it’s almost twice the size of my Arina Tanemura artbook..yep…big…but that means, big sexy pictures of Gazette x33 lol when my mom flipped through the book she thought they were all girls (especially Kai *tear* poor Kai *glomp*) lol I think I’ve scarred my mom xD (I told her that’s the style of Visual Kei bands xD) Besides that, I was happy to come home over the weekend to watch what I recorded from Tokyo’s Live Earth concert. Despite I didn’t get to record Koda Kumi, I did get Abingdon Boys School <3 lol that night I blasted my house with A.B.S. xD luckily my parents didn't wake up hahaha. They're selection was really good, just about played every song they had including they're latest song Nephilim (which has a sweet PV). Ah...I wish I was at that concert, Takanori - aka TM Revolution was so sexy x33 lol though it looked like he was a little too hyperish(his comments in between songs were so fast I could barely catch on to what he said o.o). I was really happy to see them play my two favourite songs by them, Howling and Innocent Sorrow (I almost thought they weren't going to do it, till they played it at the end then I went "ha, I knew they had to play it >D”). Ah…now if they had Gazette playing at Live Earth that too would be awwwwsssooommme (I really would’ve jumped if I saw that <333) ah well, I still love Abingdon too(Abingdon Boys School is love, Gazette is super love teehee~). Oh, before I get off now to go appreciate my photobook some more, I thought I'd make a comment and say that my Print Shop is open on my portfolio site (http://portfolio.reverielied.net) Commissions isn’t fully up yet (it’s a lot to write out, all the order types and such) but hopefully I’ll get that up soon, till then….go go!! buy my prints xD Now I ish go to stare at Gazette <333 (ah…my first internet order and it’s from Japan lol. I want to order Abingdon Boys School’s new album too…ah…maybe another time x3) ||July 10, 2007|| ---------------------- nyaa~ ---------------------- New blog buddy (yay!) Cat, who tagged me xD (oh noes, another one got me lol). Each person posts the rules before their list, then they list 9 things about themselves. At the end of the post, that person tags and links to 5 other people and then visits those peoples’ sites and comments letting them know that they have been tagged, and to come read the post, so they know what they have to do. 1. I love The GazettE (they. are. awsome *_* ) 2. I have a fettish for things that are shiny and/or cute 3. I can be incredibly stubborn if you try to force me to do something against my will/preferences 4. I do not have a cellphone *extreme tear* T-T…..yet xD 5. Unlike many siblings I know, I get along with my brother very well xD 6. I have never slept pass 11:30am (I really can’t >> not even during the summer) 7. I have watched the Digimon movie 21 times xD (because I was trying to beat my friend’s score of 12 lol) 8. I love fishing x3 (eh…running out of things to say) 9. I am Christian (and have absolutely no problem with it :3) yep yep. o.k. who should I poke? I will poke Hikari, Joyce, Ja’ne, Demi and Hikaru O.k. going back and flipping through my Gazette photobook. I noticed some pictures that were really familiar. Then, I remembered their Cassis PV (the pv and song that made me love Gazette in the first place). And what I actually noticed was that some shots in the PV actually matched some of the pictures from their photobook lol. Well..made sense, since Cassis and Gazette’s photobook were released within the same year xD. so I figure that where they had that photoshoot was also where they shot the Cassis PV (that’s in Austria). and…yesh, that was just a random analysis xD i am such a nerd lol. But I still love Gazette xD Oh I also recently found out that Gazette is having a Europe tour (Germany, France, U.K. and Finland). ahhh, lucky lucky for you Europe fans xD I hope they’ll do a North America tour x3 - U.S. and Canada :D lol, there’s my fangirl self talking again. School’s going to start soon, wow…my summer’s gone by so fast. ah…but it was nice and relaxing. and since I’ve never been able to touch any of the money that goes into my bank account (because I have no bank card) I’m good for university :3. Frosh week is coming up in about 2 weeks (ah so soon) my college and program orientation are coming too lol so much to do so little time x3 Oh, forgot to mention that I was bored and transcribed People Error (Gazette) for the piano. In the end it’ll be compiled into a book and sent to Gazette^^ if you’re interest you can check out the details here (I’ve already claimed a line from Cassis :D) ||August 14, 2007| ---------------------- Just Pure Cuteness ---------------------- O.k. now I’m just being a fangirl but: is that not absolutely adorable x3333 *fangirl overload* I swear when I was looking through Gazette pics to pick which to use for a layout I was “awww”-ing the whole time I saw these xD but seriously Ruki with a little dog, it’s so cute x3 (come on you can’t say that’s not cute) lol it makes Ruki look like a little boy hahaha especially in the one where he’s chasing the dog with the frisbee xD (ah so cute. now I’ll stop before I scare myself xD). There are actually more than these four scans but these ones were especially cute. If you have a Livejournal account you can find the scans here. (Reita is still love for me though mmm…sexy lol o.k. now I’ll stop really) Anyhoo, my cousin let me borrow Final Fantasy XII so I’ve been playing it for the last few days. At first I the battle system was incredibly confusing because I would freeze in battle to make a decision and whatnot and yes. it was confusing, and moving too slow. So I changed the battle mode so it would stop freezing while I fight (now the only exception to that is when I’m playing against a really hard enemy x3). Oh and the game, I swear almost everything in FFXII is reminiscing Star Wars (I swear it is O.o my brother agrees too) lol. but then that’s just us xD the game is still pretty good. though I do have to complain that some of parts of the License system (similar to the Sphere Grid system in Final Fantasy X that allows you to learn new abilities) are really stupid and utterly useless (like Remedy upgrades - garrr Remedies should just be the normal ones that heal everything *grumble*). Leveling up also sucks (most enemines give you shit experience Dx) anyways I’m rambling now xDD. Tomorrow is the Anime FanExpo(aka CN Anime) not planning to go until possibly Saturday though lol. Probably not going to be spending too much at this convention this time, just a couple mangas and that’s it :3 Lastly, I’ve started a new project site called “Promise - The GazettE Music Transcription Project” basically it’ll be a site dedicated to fan transcriptions of Gazette music :D random idea I got after transcribing Gazette music lol. anyhoo the site’s not complete yet but if you’re interested check back now and then, I’ll have stuff up eventually lol (the site is here) ja’ne! ||August 24, 2007||
