Kyuu! Archive-July 2006 ---------------------- Under Construction ---------------------- umm..yes..new layout…eh..under construction here..yes, it’s all messed up (rawrgg!!! damn you tables >_<;; ) um...yes..if anyone wants to help me out here, please feel free to (teh laziness of me, I suck >_<) ||July 8,2006|| ---------------------- back again x3 ---------------------- Well, upgraded Wordpress on my blog here (the layouts are actually more complicated now in coding, buuuuuttt…I ish lazy so I’m just using the same layout that I had before I updated xDDD (yesh…maybe I’ll change the codes on my new layout later nyan xp). I neglected to mention ages ago that I beat Kingdom Hearts II after about a week or less of playing xD, not 100% complete course, but I finished, story-wise. Overall I still liked the game, mostly because it was graphically cool-looking (lol eye candy) the drives and such were great and reaction commands were fun <3. My few complaints though would be the huge amount of cutscenes in the game (like in the beginning where you’re Roxas, I swear everything you did ended up with a Sora KH1 flashback O_o;; ), I mean yes, I felt that there wasn’t enough in the first one (imo) but they just overdid it in this one. Second complaint was the shortness of gameplay in general (mostly due to cutscenes), most enemies were pretty easy to kill(especially with reaction commands) so I was kinda disappointed by that. Summons were pretty much a waste, most in-battle healing items except for hi-potions and elixirs, were useless (especially ethers, because Sora had unlimited magic that would recover on it’s own when you used it up xD), and not enough extra stuff to do after you beat the game at least once (besides synthesis, Sephiroth battle, a couple underworld colusseum tournaments, and journal completion there wasn’t much, no extra bosses except for Sephy nyan x3)Oh well, I still loved it because Sora is cool and Riku is cool and fwahahahahaha yaoi!!!! (SoraxRiku) hahaha *cough*handon@ssintheendingscene*cough* <–you didn’t hear that from me xD anyhoo, job interview on Wednesday, trying to get a job at the Ex this summer (preferrably info booth or ticket sales heh, teh laziness of me xD) ||July 17, 2006|| ---------------------- Summer so far ---------------------- Well, a month of my summer is almost up, So far I’ve spent half my time playing video games (yay LoZ: Master Quest xD thank you roms x3) 2 consecutive weekends fishing (I caught edible size fish xD meaning something more than 12 inches, and something other than sunfish x3), and the rest of my time either drawing, sleeping, watching anime or job hunting :p Watched the entired D.N.Angel dub a while back, sooo..here comes another major voice review xD (mm..I should start a review site xD) Daisuke Niwa - not bad, decent for an English version, I was content with it :3 Dark Mousy - i must say that I only like it because it’s Vic (V.A. for Edward Elric) tehe, well, I say it fits fairly well. Maybe even a little better than the Japanese version :p Satoshi Hiwatari - this one took some time to get used to, it’s the not the best but it’s not bad either(definitely like the Japanese vesion better though x3 Krad - using the same V.A. as Hayate from Pretear just didn’t fit Krad’s personality(cause he’s got a little bit of an accent), actually I would’ve liked Krad’s voice better if he switched with Satoshi’s English voice x3 Risa Harada - imo Risa’s English voice is fairly close to the original Japanese, but in terms of English, her voice just annoyed me ~_~ Riku Harada - not bad in general (like the Jap. better) Emiko Niwa - pretty good :3 Daiki Niwa - the young version of him sounded pretty good, his normal old version was …o.k. Kosuke - could be better, sounds a little young (imo) Takeshi Saehara - too kiddy, his English voice made him sound like he’s 13- xp Inspector Saehara - as I expected xD Police Chief Hiwatari - his voice sounds old and evil enough xD Mio Hio - So much better and much more amusing in Japanese (because she spoke broken Japanese mixed with English<--very funny xD), Hio's English voice just made her sound (most of the time except for the end) like a valley girl prep xp Menou - again, as expected Towa no Shirube(Towa-chan) - the English version called her “Eternal Guide”(translation of the name “Towa no Shirube”) which I personally didn’t like because it didn’t explain why she wanted Daisuke to call her “Towa” (course in Japanese it made perfect sense in Japanese because “Towa” came from her name “Towa no Shirube” -chan of course is added to make her sound young lol), her voice in English (imo) was way too high pitched and not suitable for her age (and she is old, but cute^^), the Japanese one is much better :3 Freedert - not bad, a little too young for my liking though^^;; Toki no Byoushin - mmm..kinda old (and echo-y?), though I didn’t mind too much (I liked her Japanese voice though, it was cute :3) general comments: the only thing I wasn’t really happy about was the name translations/ replacement for Towa no Shirube and the Toki no Byoushin. Though I didn’t mind changing “Toki no Byoushin” and “Toki no Kusabi” to “Second Hand of Time” and “Wedge of Time” (though “wedge of time” sounds a little funny to me xD), Towa no Shirube was just something they should’ve kept so that you could understand why she’s called “Towa”, second, I really disliked how the dub called characters by their last name, like Riku calling Daisuke “Niwa”, and the other way around, Daisuke calling Risa and Riku “Miss Harada” and “Miss Riku” (calling Satoshi, “Hiwatari” wasn’t too bad though), all in English of course, it just sounds…too formal and (imo) weird. It makes sense in the Japanese version because it describes levels of relationships between characters (-san being more formal than -kun and -chan) Anyhoo, there’s my rantage, now I’m off to replay KH2 xD ||July 20, 2006|| ---------------------- Up, downs, and spins ---------------------- This is one of the few times where it’s 12am and I’m feeling really tired xD Went to Wonderland today with Church friends and my parents, total 3 rollar(sp?) rides and one show (we only watched the show for the airconditioning xD ah…cool and refreshing, it was hot today x_x; ). Well…o.k. 2 doesn’t sound like a lot, but considering that half the time you’re there is line-up time, I’d say 3 is decent, for me anyway xD. My dad went on 4(one of them twice because I didn’t go on it the first time they went xD). It’s been a long time since my parents went to Wonderland (pretty much 10 years actually :p). Got a little bit of a headache when we left, probably for 2 reasons: (1)too much wind in the head from the rides (2)it was going to rain soon(sometimes I get headaches when it’s raining), I felt a little better after we ate dinner though :3 lol, I still feel the motion of being on the Psyclone (swinging back and forth, while turning a little, it’s kinda like being on a pendulem that spins slowly as it moves back and forth xD), had to close my eyes when we were falling back down though, although I’m not afraid of heights, the perspective of me falling towards the ground scares me TuT. Going up though was o.k., in fact, it’s gives you a nice view of the park scenery when you’re high up :333 (funky, mini-antigravity effect too, xD I was hovering at least an inch or so off my seat when we started slowing down on our way up to the top of the ride xD). kyuuuu…me ish sleepy now, no more blogging tonight *snore* ZzZzzzzz. ||July 30, 2006||
