You know, I seriously never noticed that Kousai is over 7:30mins long xD Really, the beauty of the song never made me think it was that long ahahaha~ It’s too beautiful. Heck lol, it’s almost as long as Reila(Gazette) xDDD
 
Anyhow, I hope everyone had fun celebrating New Years Day n___n I spent it at home lol as you can see xD *points to post below this one* Next year though for sure, I’ll be out on New Years Eve for 3 reasons. 1 being I’ve never gone out with friends to do stuff downtown on New Years Eve. 2, next year is legal drinking age year! Yayyyysss, champagne for meee *joins Uru in drinking* xD and 3, subway rides are free after 12am >D woOt I’m excited already.
 
So tomorrow I’ll be back in school to start my second semester. All in all, I’m ready to go back after a good full month of relaxing holidays (I’m looking forward to going back to my Japanese class teehee~). Surprisingly, I actually found out today that I’ll probably be done by April (formal exams for second semester start in April meaning the term classes will probably end in March) yayyy again. Wow, I can’t believe how fast first year is going by. It kinda scares me >.>;; Gotta work hard now, even though I don’t think I can keep my scholarship, I want to at least try to :3 *is hoping her Japanese mark will pull stuff up xD* Luckily this week I only have classes tomorrow since I set my timetable to make it so I had Friday’s off all year. b(>u<)o
 
More good news! I finally finished transcribing Chizuru! :D Yes, finally. and it was all completed after staying up till 5am on New Years Day xD oh wells. Next to that, from my list of things to accomplish during the break, I also finished revamping my portfolio site, updated other sites and caught up on some gaming (still not done playing FFXII though >o<). I didn’t finish my essay but at least I submitted my webwork on time (I’ll work on the essay soon, beginning next week). I still need to start on my costume for Anime North, and I decided that I’ll be doing Yuki Cross this year :3 (hopefully I have enough material left from before for the skirt). So much to do so little time nya~ Sleepy time now, I gotta tutor tomorrow morning.

Back to school again. *le sigh*
So apparently my professor for my web art/design class kinda got pissed at our class and complained that less than 1/4 of the class was showing up for lectures. So now he’s started taking attendance again. Not that that really matters to me, I was one of the few who went to class anyway despite the fact that it was on a Monday, and it required me to wake up at 6:30am to get to school at 8:30am for a 1hr lecture >>. Then again maybe it’s just my first year self (much like my grade 9 self) that doesn’t like to skip class. But I really do hope people will show up to the lecture more often now because he mentioned that if people continually skip then he’ll start doing flash/pop quizes Dx and that’d be terrible since I sure don’t pay attention a lot in that class. In fact half the time I end up falling asleep because I’m so tired in the morning, and can never find anything useful in that class to take notes on (I mean I used to for the first month and a half of classes but then I just gave up when I saw no one else doing it >>)
 
I finally got Facebook this week because of the thing I was volunteering for this year. It’s so at least they can update me on whatever comes up. (Though I said e-mail was fine, but then nooo, they were like “just get facebook” >>) Gahhh, as soon as I got facebook my e-mail was like…flooded with facebook e-mails x____x I was like “zomg, my poor inbox” luckily my friend showed me how to turn off the notifications so I just turned them all off x3 (cept for anything for my group). My facebook will most likely just be like my Myspace. Sparsely tended to and only updated when I’m bored and have absolutely nothing to do. (But in those times I’m either blogging here or on ameblo, posting on forums, taking care of my sites or browsing jrock pics/interviews/videos/live reports). So…yep, Facebook means nothing to me really >>;; (Honestly I don’t know why people spend so much time on it. I keep in contact with my friends through e-mail and msn anyway xD)
 
Last night I was procrastinating again and went to read Nao, Shou and Saga’s blog. and ohhh, I was so sad to find that both Shou and Nao’s BBS were full. As in, I couldn’t comment on them T____T I love commenting on their blogs, especially Nao’s and that’s not just because he posts the most hillarious pictures and comments, but it’s good practice for Japanese n___n (poor Nao, last week he posted a New Years joke but no one got it xD;;; ). Anyway, I hope they clear some of their BBS comments soon (lol I know it’s still full because I don’t see any new comments since their last post. And normally as soon as any of them post at least 10 people will comment within the next 10 secs xD)
 
So…today I learned to kinda go to the bank and deposit the check I got from the prize I got from the poster competition and my pay from tutoring. So yayy, now I know how to deposit checks to my account xD. My mom also said I can get a bank card :3 I would’ve gotten it today but then I got my “monthly” and ended up throwing up my lunch again so I went home. But she said she’ll take me another day. I just want my card so that I don’t have to wait in line everytime I want to deposit my checks. I made a vow to myself that money in my bank account stays there until I get a part-time/permanent job and can have a stable earning. Now after that I want to find out how to do currency exchanges so I can possible buy out some Japanese yen x3 (with money that’s not in my account). So…yep I’ll get there…someday lol. Oh, today I also got my student membership card from the Association of Registered Graphic Designers of Ontario. teehee~ I felt so professional for the first 10secs of looking at it ahaha~ Hopefully I can land a small job from there or from university for the summer. :3
 
The GazettE seems to be on the popular side in terms of requested bands for this year’s JRockRevolution festival. Yayyy~
Alice Nine is also on the list tied with Dir En Grey (Diru’s done enough shows in North America already, a9 needs more love x3 don’t believe me? go watch the alice nine fanservice song x]). So hopefully JRR can get Gazette to come this year. Now the next thing I want to push for is JRR2 to be in Toronto because I have never gone to a jrock concert and have only gone to 1 concert of anything in the past. dude I am deprived, and so is the rest of Canada, and especially Toronto, heck we only got Dir En Grey once and Vancouver even has a better chance of getting stuff than us despite the fact that Toronto is the largest city in Canada >> *cries* lol it’ll come eventually. It has to, jrock will come to Toronto and then all Toronto jrock fans will be happy :D
 
Anyhow, I sleep now. Gotta wake up early for class again xx;;; lol I went out for ramen lunch on the weekend, go to my Japanese blog to look at piccies teehee~ mmm…ramen. I made a new layout for my main domain too (reverielied.net) check check lol I loves it (would you believe me if I told you it’s not coded in tables? >3 )

Finally caught up

I felt so accomplished today, I managed to finally catch up with all my school work. Finished my essay due Thursday today during my 5 hour break between my Japanese lecture and tutorial. Ah…that really felt nice cause I wanted that essay out of the way. I still think I’ll get a bad mark on it but whatever, I don’ts care now xD. I got my midterm back for that class too and I was so happy to see that C+ because the average was like a C and below, with (and I quote my TA here) many failures. Seriously I was so scared I failed because I don’t understand anything in that class Dx I finally got my marks for my first semester-only classes too and I was happy to see all B’s yayy. I still don’t think I’ll be able to keep my scholarship though, but I’ll still try to anyway (I ish will just work really hard this term). My hopes lie all in my Japanese and Web class.
 
Speaking of web, I have Interactivity Design this term, meaning I get to learn more about web design xDD cept the difference between this one and my 2nd year web course is that this one is specifically focused on Design. Funny thing, last class I was surprised to learn that web layout designs all supposed use a grid to align things. So for most of that class we were making grids and different compositions from that grid. Insane x___x Seriously I get this feeling that once I get through this course, I’ll totally hate how I design my layouts. oh boy… Oo;;; Coding shouldn’t be hard for that class since we’ll be mostly doing HTML and basic CSS (maybe some Javascript, probably not a lot of php. I learned how to make Flash buttons today in my web class, can’t wait till I learn how to do a website x3). We have to code in Dreamweaver though apparently (says my course syllabus), which is probably the only thing I don’t like so far because (1)I’ve never done it before and (2)Since I know how to code raw code from scratch so I really don’t like to code in any other way (with the exception of Flash) and I think all they’re making us do is enter in values Dx Really after my experience with Pagebuilders it is determined that you will never learn to code anything if you do it that way >> But anyhow, I won’t complain.
 
Oh oh, tomorrow I’m handing in my application for a Japan Exchange Trip between one of the schools my program’s affiliated with and a university in Tokyo (I don’t remember the name right now). Ah honestly I feel like they won’t let me go because I’m a first-year and none of my profs have known me that well n__n;;; but oh well, I will try anyway. Maybe I’ll get lucky again like with the poster competition. But ahhhh that’d be so awesome if I could go, and my parents said I could too n___n I had to ask of course since this was an exchange, it meant someone would come to live at our house. So how it works is, they come in March for 2 weeks and then I’d go over there in May (by then, school will be over for me, but it’ll still be going in Japan) and stay there for 2 weeks. lol, I’ll be such a fangirl I’d want to wander around….everywhere ahaha if I do go I’ll probably take some of my free time to go to shop for alice nine’s Mirrorball single, which would be out by that time (and it’s cheaper in Japan^^). ah…*daydreams* it’d be so much fun. I’d have to work, but still. fun n___n (I’d want to go to Akihabara too -has an electronic fettish- and….gundam o___o I haven’t built a gundam in ages). Anyhow
 
late note and then I’m going to bed. Tora is injured *cries* so alice nine’s [A to U] tour has been postponed till he gets better (health first n___n). Apparently he has cervical spinal hernia, so after one of their shows he found that part of his body(I think it was his whole left side from the neck down) couldn’t move and painkillers weren’t helping. Poor Tora (you’re working too hard ne >3<) luckily Nao and Shou posted on their blogs today saying that Tora’s getting a little better so they’re happy :3 (yayyy, and the fans are too) So till he does get better, everyone go comment on his blog and send some fanmail love n____n JRockRevolution is also accepting messages to send to alice nine too (check their site for more info) and of course, there are a whole ton of Tora fanprojects right now so feel free to join^^

Well, I was pretty sleepy today so I actually went and took a nap. Mm…that was nice.
It was really really cold today despite there being no snow. Which is pretty normal because sometimes we just get those really cold days where if you were to look outside the window, it’s all sunny and looks warm. BUT, as soon as you step out there you feel like you just walked into the North Pole. and for record-sake, we are not the North Pole children D: seriously there are still some people out there who think Canada = North Pole = people living in igloos and driving around in dogsleds and snowmobiles. (and I can tell you that I’ve never seen a real igloo >>;; )
Anyhow, I drew a really lazy card for Aoi and fanmailed it to him ahaha I’ve just added to the pile ^^;;; Seriously I was so lazy in drawing Aoi because, I just suck at drawing anything human Dx lol he ended up looking kinda like a plushie, but I guess it’s kinda cute xD (You can find the card on my Japanese blog and on my DeviantArt)
 
JRock Choice Awards! Well, Gazette won nothing industry speaking, but they got pretty much…everything in terms of the Fan Choice awards. I know from the JRR forums, there are quite a few who were mad/disappointed by that. In some sense, I feel for them cause I’d be pretty disappointed to see my favourite band not win. But fan’s choice is fan’s choice, and they won fair and square.

I was really happy to see Alice Nine win best dressed lol really, for that one I’d say it would’ve been a close one between alice nine and An Cafe (cute vs. sexy ne? xDDD). But yep, I’m satisfied with the results n_____n
And good news this week, I heard that Tora got better after resting and started going back on tour yesterday (hope he doesn’t overwork himself again D: ).

new computer!

weee!!! I got my beautiful mac this week! It’s shiny, and it makes my computer room smell like my design lab xDD (lol the smell of technology ahahaha). My dad bought the monitor ages before too, It’s huge, and the buttons on it are touch-sensored (so to turn it on I just tap the little symbol on it.) I couldn’t find any new good GazettE or Reita pictures I could use for a sexy wallpaper so I made an alice nine wall (with Nao x333). My desk is so unbelievably messy aharharharhar. it’s a good thing I don’t have to do as much cutting this term. But I’ll clean it….eventually lol. I already *cough*crcked*cough* all the stuff I needed for school (adobe cs3). And, zomg it downloads stuff so fast *____* I love it (ahaha, that’s what I get for a $4000 computer xD;;; ). I can download 100mb in like 5-7mins (provided that no one’s using the internet on the other computer across from mine and my processor doesn’t kill my internet ahaha). But yes it’s cool.
 
Oh, what I found even cooler was that my mac can play Region 2 dvd’s. I was a little bored on Thursday so I decided to test out the dvd drive on the mac with alice nine’s Alpha dvd. and *ding* put it in and it played great! *is very happy that she can now play all the jrock dvds she bought and will buy in the future xD* I’s happy. The only thing I wasn’t so thrilled about was the fact that mac has issues with a lot of unsupported media files. like with my pc, all I had to do was download the CCP -Community Codec Pack- and everything would play on either Windows Media Player or DivX. but with my mac, that’s not the case, so I have to download like 3 players for stuff >>;; plus I have no Veoh tv. so I have to manually go to the veoh.com site to click download there. oh and Windows Media Player for mac is retarded. It was programmed to play only windows media stuff and nothing else. (not even mp3’s) WTH! why would you do that when the original WMP plays everything!? so now I have to use the iTunes to listen to my music on the computer.
 
Yep..but other than that, I love my new mac x333 and now I sleep (zomg, it’s 3:45am *will probably be scolded in the morning*)
