I can’t believe I bought my Economics textbook a little less than 2 weeks ago, and within about a week (probably less) I went through nearly half the textbook just from doing my catch-up readings x___x. Crazy really, next week is my mid-term, 50 multiple choice questions. Length-wise that’s really not a lot for an exam that’s supposed to last for 2 hours. Our prof. said we’ll probably just take 1 hour tops, which is fine because my Japanese exams were something like….100+ multiple choice questions that was to be done in 55mins x__x I should really study, I feel like a ton (if not most) stuff I’m “learning” in Economics is a lot of logical/common sense if you think about kind of stuff, but then hell, never know. I actually want to do good in this class so I can offset that C+ I have in Arts and Ideas x__x (still EXTREMELY happy that I never have to take that class again).

I’ll be happy when my mid-term’s past because it’s my friend’s birthday next week! yay. Most likely giving her present late though because I ordered her some stuff from J-xyz and it’s coming a little late. (they better not go out of me when it comes time where I want to order alice nine’s Shiny Summer X-mas photobook >3<). I listened to Strawberry Fuzz a few days ago (2nd track on alice nine’s Rainbows single) and it sounds pretty awesome, I think I might like it even better than Rainbows itself ahaha. I won’t know yet till I hear the whole thing lol. Less than a month until it comes out 8D And it’s Nao’s birthday at the end of the month fwee~~ After that it’s no more obsessive j-rock birthday thinking until September xD (Tora’s birthday)

Ah, today I went to a conveyor-belt sushi bar, it was so cute and awesome, a little pricey but still pretty good. It was cute how they kinda had this game where if you were lucky enough to find a sticker on one of your plates that plate would be free of charge (because they charge per plate). I surprisingly did manage to get one ahahaha, it was fun, I went with some of my friends from the exchange group I was with when I went to Japan :3

Anyway…umm…yesh that was partially a boredom post/procrastination post ahaha. so I’ll shut up now xD

Another late night rant

I’m sorry, yes sadly it’s another late night rant.

Canada’s JRock scene (from my p.o.v.)

[THE RANT]A little while back I discovered the site canadajrock.ca. My initial response: well obviously was something like “yayy, finally some work being done.” But after just a couple of days of hanging around the forum I was seriously discouraged by the negativity among some of the members. Particularly towards Visual -kei. Now I think most (if not all) can agree that not all jrock is VK. and I’m pretty sure not all jrock fans are VK fans. But, I have to say in my own opinion that a large amount of jrock fans are VK fans. And very honestly it saddens me to see Canadian jrock fans talk crap about VK when a lot of people probably like it. No really in fact I get the feeling that this is why some Canadian fans are discouraged to well…speak out >>;;

Some are even opposed to JRockRevolution and how crappy they are. And really, crappy or not, I don’t care, at least they were able to get more known bands to play in North America. (one of the reasons I support them) Sure Canada gets j-rock, but what good is investing in bands to come and play overseas when few know them?

A bunch of members on JRR forums started a East-Coast Jrock project (for the U.S. lol) and very honestly, I’m impressed, only a month and they’ve already got a site up (and I mean a working site), facebook/myspace/LJ/xanga/blogspot/petition and are even planning to start a Street team. Their aim right now is some major cities like New York, Boston, Washington, Orlando etc. No really, I am impressed. And no offense to Canada JRock, we haven’t tried to do shit as a fanbase. And it’s sad to see a nice good numbers of fans (no really we have a decent number) with so little motivation and initiative. (Come on, even a little message to artists would help *breaks out teh motivation fans* )[/RANT]

Well…that’s my rant for tonight, I’m still continuing the push for JRock in Canada anyway ahaha, VK included of course <33 and if you’re living in the east coast of the U.S. go support the East Coast Project 8D:
http://pro-ject.webs.com/

Happy Independence Day people!

btw, I’ve been watching alice nine’s RAINBOWS pv endlessly today and despite it being not the most flashiest pv, and have to admit there are some funny moments in it including TEH PIMP SHOU!!!! *rotflol* omg I can’t stop watch him do the pimp walk LOL *spills guts*

course, no alice nine pv tops my love for their White Prayer and Blue Planet pv. imo, those were their best (and probably Ruri no Ame and Gradation :33).

And everyone knows no pv tops my love for Gazette’s Cassis pv <333 bwahahaha xDD *is shot*

Don’t mind me~~

[SLIGHT PMS RANT]I sometimes wish some people would shut up about the issues of file-sharing. I’m sure some of you who wander the land of LJ (and like j-music x33) have heard about the whole issue on JapanFiles and them and the jmusic_uploads community. On one side I can see their concern for stuff like this but on the other hand I get the feeling that they are denying the usefulness of file-sharing. Purpose being that it lets people get to know artists out there. Somehow I think they also fail to realize that file-sharing starts when someone BUYS the music first and shares it with people which could potentially attract MORE buyers =__=. They also seem to assume that everyone who download music illegally never buy the real thing from the artists. Which is obviously not true. Besides, I’m not seeing any band I’m into dying financially because we’re file-sharing their music >>;; Show me some numbers and maybe I’ll start believing. ack, it’s just something about organizations like JapanFiles that piss me off when they try to speak for the WHOLE music industry =___= I’m sorry but you cannot speak for the whole industry when each label has their own issues, and if they choose to take action they can do it themselves, they are very much capable TYVM. >>[/END RANT]

that was my pms rant har~ anyway~~~

Yesterday (well,,no now it’s 2 days ago aha) it was Canada Day, woOt I had so much fun, I invited some friends over to play DDR, Karaoke Revolution and Rock Band for just about the whole day. and OMG, Rock Band, is soooooooooo incredibly fun, I almost want to get it if I weren’t poor xDD I was actually surprised I knew more songs there than, mm…say every Guitar Hero I played? xDD (well which has only been 2 xD) If you haven’t played it before, I hope you do sometime in the future cause it’s sooo fun xDD *hyperness* Though I have to admit drums is kinda weird because honestly the set-up of the drum for Rock Band doesn’t feel like a normal drumkit, it’s basically 4 circular pads connected together (that’s the snare, hi-hat, and a crash and ride cymbal) with a foot-pedal (the bass drum). So when you freestyle during a song it sounds REALLY weird because you have no tom toms xDDD;;;;; Ah well still really fun x33 and I swear my DDR skill is deteriorating, lol I should play it more often ahaha.

Also went out to see fireworks, but they kinda sucked. Figures, I knew I should’ve gone to the beach to see them instead. >>;;; Oh and I’ll say it now cause I swear I’ll forget later, but Happy Independence Day for all of you living in the U.S.^^

End of this week is Shou’s birthday fuu~~another crappy birthday drawing to do fwee xD If I had remembered earlier I would’ve love to send a real card instead ah…*headdesk*

btw, you should all watch the finally released, full pv for Shunkashuutou (alice nine). I was so happy to see it today, absolutely lovely, possibly my favourite alice nine pv ever…..that is, except for White Prayer LOL. And thanks to everyone for supporting my job search, sadly I’ve got nothing again yet. But I shall keep searching x33 Seriously you guys support me better than my parents who keep wondering why I don’t have a job yet and I don’t know why, am I too young? do I look too young? <–it’s probably that, damn people are so contradicting. When we’re young we want to look older, when we’re older we want to look younger. I like to look young, it’s the society that wants me older >>;; I should move to Japan, they value youth more xD

oh well, now I shall shut up and go to sleep. (and when I say that I actually mean go to play Crisis Core in bed until 3am and then sleep xDDD *is shot*)
